Hi all,
I bought recently 23/25 of these lovely cards & added the set this morning.
https://www.tcdb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/433763/1890-02-American-Tobacco-Co.-Beauties-Curtain-background?PageIndex=1#24839844
I was surprised to see how little of those American Tobacco Co. cards were listed here, knowing that we have a big number of members in the U.S.A.
There are all amazing cards to look at & it's really a shame that so few are listed here, but this is my personal opinion, since I'm not seeking Sports cards.
I know that it can't be easy to build up a checklist of those cards since most or all of them are unnumbered cards, but I feel it's a shame not to have them on TCDB.
If you have some of these and can't list them, send them over I'll do it for you. Not saying if I'll be sending them back though. Lol
Well these were my morning thoughts, just wanted to share them with you.

I don’t know how many members collect non-sport tobacco cards, but they are some really pretty cards. Years ago I had sites bookmarked with very elaborate checklist on tobacco cards, lost all of them when I switched computers.

If people had time and money to spend, it might be fun to become a kind of card hunter just to get some missing sets up on this site. Heck, don't even have to go last century to do it as one could just try and wrangle some Japanese or Korean baseball sets that are missing some details. It's all about that time and money, though...

I read the title as Tabasco cards. Whoops! They are very cool cards though. Enjoy your collection.

I collect about 25 N and T non-sport sets. They used to be a much more affordable alternative to enjoy the printing and lithography. The prices have really jumped over the last 5-10 years. Here is a great gallery resource with checklists and pictures that is really comprehensive. The American Tobacco Cards book by Forbes & Mitchell is also a good resource for "T" cards.

Many of the American Tobacco cards are listed under the brand they were released under; Recruit, Mecca, Fatima, Ramly, Turkey Red. Old Judge. Old Mill, etc. If the cards don't state a specific brand, then they're listed as American Tobacco.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Petibonum, thanks for taking time to scan and post those cards. They really are fascinating to look at. I can’t help but imagine men buying cigarettes and wanting those cards the same way my friends and I wanted the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition when I was a kid!

I love to trade! Check the top couple of paragraphs of my profile to see my general trading desires. If you're uncertain if I’ll take a certain trade, message me and we can figure out something.
