Good evening!
We umm,ok, I keep wracking my head on how to get those who really need or want their cards to them.
I tried listing them here but a couple of thousand in gave up to the sound of crickets and not a single inquiry.
I get that in an ideal world you can trade off your doubles and get every card on your wantlists but well you know...
If anyone has ideas or suggestions that do not include me typing out every cards description or some over-fee'd model that helps but makes me poor in the process kinda like sportlots Kronozio etc,,
Ultimately i want to help cleanup your wantlists, $ are NOT the motivator but a necessity to keep either a site running or
should I try a go f-me campaign, kickstarter to raise $ to offer totally free cards shipping included?
Here's an example of a card that ewe have a few of and many need, what could be the next non-intrusive step that can be taken to let these members know it is available https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/201515/cid/12856206/1997-Sports-Cards-Magazine-Free-Issue-Offer-NNO-Michael-Jordan
Do i need to up my bla-bla-bla game and talk everyone into submission(not to take Jabs at anyone) but thats not me, i would hope that the cards and the prices could do all the talking.
Too many questions, i know
Alright thanks for your time i rambled too long sorry passion overfloweth.

Question what currency is this in?? You being from Canada is it CDN?
Also is there a way you can hide cards already picked up and somehow easier to browse. I keep trying but I may just be doing it wrong

Please don't take this the wrong way, and maybe there was something I did wrong myself. I just visited the website and did a search all products for Alstott ... my search did not yield any results. Fair enough, I mean he hasn't played for years. Next I tried a search for Buccaneers and again received the "your search for Buccaneers did not yield any results". I thought that was kind of odd. So then I typed in Tampa Bay Buccaneers but again failed to yield a result. Now I'm starting to wonder what the puck is going on here?
Now I decided to find a Bucs card if I have to go through every image on your site. I clicked on category, and then Football from the drop down menu. Not too far in I find a Bucs card, raise the flags! No player name, team or set is mentioned, only your sku# B1173. The card is a Chris Godwin Panini Unsung Heroes card. So now I try a search for Godwin. I get a match but for a Magic the Gathering Goblin glory chaser card?!?
When I do a search for B1173 I get a match and also any other cards on the website that start with the B117#. So unless someone knows your sku# or sort-code product number, it will be very hard to find a specific player they are looking for by using the search bar option. I don't have that kind of time if I'm looking for 20-40 cards from your site to take advantage of the awesome deals it offers.
Again maybe I did something wrong, but it should be easier to find what the customer wants. I think it is great what you are trying to do by getting the cards into the hands of the collectors ... but there should be a seamless flow to the process.

Exactly the issue, while there are many whom have no issues we know many do, as i did say - If anyone has ideas or suggestions that do not include me typing out every cards description.
We've got 5 million + cards but likely not enough life left to list them all without some miracle.
I appreciate the response and after all it is what i wanted was for those whom oppose the current format to say so, i may not be able to do something about it or maybe someone else chimes in and gives me an Aha moment (No please no take me on i'll be good)
A question if i may, have you ever been to a card show?
Thank you!

I have to say, this is my problem as well. I find it next to impossible for find the cards that I'm looking for - either by player or set, when using the search field.
I know that I've read on different blogs, etc., that others don't seem to have this issue so, similar to BuccaneersDen, it may be me.

Mais oui, I've been to many card shows. I was just at the Toronto Expo last weekend. I usually buy boxes though, not single cards.
I don't oppose of your website format, I meant to say maybe it could be more user friendly.

I've purchased before and am a happy customer. I agree, it is like sifting through the dime boxes at a card show.
A previous poster suggested hiding the cards that are sold out and I agree. The card show dime box doesn't contain sold out cards.
Thanks, David

I have made a couple of purchases and have been very pleased. I did find the website a little hard to use but I totally understand not wanting to fully describe millions of cards.
I do have a suggestion. You have many cards that appear on want list here on TCDB. If someone wants to buy from you, have them message you here. You can take a look at their wantlist and send a transaction with the cards you have available (you can type out the year, set and card number). Then the buyer can counter to the cards they want and can afford.
Maybe not the best idea however someone might be able to tweak the idea and make it work.

I think the possible quickest way to get cards to people is to first message active members here and ask if they are interested in buying cards that are listed in their want list that you think you have a lot of. If there is a taker, you can offer them the lots listings that you have, like 40 cards, 80 cards, etc with prices. These may end up being random wants, but since there's only two of you working up there, the user here will just have to embrace whatever you can send. It's definitely more legwork for you, as you'd be the one finding those 40+ cards, but I would like to think that some people would like these kind of paid gift packages geared towards their collections needs.

I have had luck using the matching tool for wantlists.
Searching for specific cards can definitely be tedious you pretty much have to know the set the card is from. The search feature is not exactly robust.
