Hello Team, 

How long do you normally wait to leave negative feedback? And/or what are some general approaches here - I'd be interested to hear anyone's thoughts. 

I've got a trade partner that is going on week 3 of silence (and no cards). I sent my cards the first day and they haven't made any updates to the trade since accepting. Per feedback they ghosted once before, but that was almost 4 years ago now. 

This would have been my first trade with them as well. 

Anywho, whatever you've got, I'd love to read it. 

Check if he has logged on since you last messaged him. If he ahsn't, nothing wrong in asking in the Forums if anyone knows what is up; he may be ill or have a family emergency to deal with.  We have even had someone who had died here. If he has logged on and you have tried to communicate with the person with 2 or 3 messages be it in the transaction or outright messaged him and he has not responded, then I would say it is time to leave negative feedback.

We have had too many in the recent couple of years who have scammed som eof themembers here.  Also nothing wrong in making it public here in the Forums.  If he sees it, he then has the chance to explain himself.

Good call on seeing if he's logged in and he has not since the last interaction.

I've dealt with him over the years and he's always come through. Five trades to be exact. Just recently completed a trade that garnered us both over 80 cards - he did sub a card for another (HOFer for HOFer) on my Want List that he couldn't find, and it did take about a month to "complete" the trade. He's still not marked it as Completed, though. But again, that's typical jdmason. I'll eventually trade with him again. These issues for me are tolerable - but that's me.

That's good to hear. I'm in a similar boat - I don't really mind a long turnaround and will give him time to square it away.

You might also reach out to the other indivdual who had a similar issue with a trade (the one negative feedback) and see if he ever got the cards after having left the negative.
