I'm brand new to this site - a rookie so to speak (albeit an old rookie), so bear with me if I ask simple questions and/or make mistakes.
The main reason I joined is that I'm finally getting around to organizing/cataloging my multi-thousand card collection that I've accumulated, inherited, been given, or otherwise acquired throughout the years, and this site seemed like a great place to begin.
While frantically entering cards every day, I notice frequent messages informing me that many of my cards appear on various members want lists, because almost every card I enter intentionally goes into my For Sale/Trade list. The reason? I am an avid, if not obsessed, Yzerman collector, having over three thousand distinct cards and thousands of duplicates, yet to be entered.
Almost all other cards are available, mostly hockey, and those are the cards I'm entering now into the For Sale/Trade list. Here's the thing - unless you have some obscure or rare Yzerman cards, I am not collecting anything else, so making a Trade would be difficult.
I'm not ignoring the messages informing me of cards I have that are on your want lists, and I will reply to every one of them as time permits. However, in the meantime, if you see anything pop up on your side, please message me, or propose a transaction (if that's the correct wording) and make me an offer to buy what you need. I have no idea what most of my "traders" are worth, but I assure you, any reasonable offer will be accepted, and I'll just have to figure out what it will cost to ship to you, as that would also be new to me. Of note is that I do NOT sell on eBay, so this is the only way I know to get you the cards you need.
Sorry for the length of this post, but I'm open to advice/suggestions from the very experienced members on this site.
Looking forward to hearing from you - thanks for listening.
