Certainly user friendly would mean less cards added to the site but they become highly searchable like flipping a coin.
On one hand there are those whom flock to see the latest additions and there are those whom shudder to sniff and search the site because it is near kimpossible to find anything.
I'm leaning heavily towards describing them all out properly and see how that works.
Shortly we will also have multiple item listings from a set for example 2013 Topps Finest UFC 1-100 once the better half shows me how she does it so i dont have to take her away from her crochet.

We primarily reside in Canada however we are often at our 2nd home in the USA and we understand that it bothers some Canadians that our website is in US funds, and that is due in large part to our supply chain of cards and well, supplies(BCS) 75% of which are acquired from the US in USD.
We will be better at removing the sold out items quicker and really appreciate the feedback.
Thank you

No, It is not you or just you, the search will work if i add relevant search terms to the items description rather than doing the fast list mode of just a sku and go.
We kinda' hoped it would be "sufficient" just to turn a page to see 60 items at a time(thats how many we see on our end) but i may need to rethink that.

I like the idea and actually had 1 person ever reach out to me and say look at my wantlists and get me what you can find on them.
I don't want to be or come off as aggressive and approach everyone, i find that may be intrusive like all those telemarketers over the phone.
Don't mind the legwork, but too often i have done that without $ upfront and spent too much time to end up with 0 after much "legwork".

I saw an eBay listing the other day that apparently used AI to list the details of a few dozen cards in the lot. Would you consider that option? I would imagine if there is at least one card in the set that is scanned somewhere in the internet you'd be able to get at least the set name and who is named on the card. I doubt on the accuracy of parallels since the shiny ones don't always scan well.

Thank you for your input. Out if real interest - is there a better way to search? For example: my daughter loves Allen & Ginter. If I search on "Allen & Ginter", it brings up one Magic the Gathering card and one NFL card (whose name isn't Allen).
How should I be searching in this example? Or is there a navigation jump point and sort of find it that way?
Any advice would be appreciated- I know there's great cards to be found here, I just don't know how to find them. Thank you.

I honestly appreciate what your store provides, and I've used it once for a 40-card purchase a few months ago.
I cannot imagine logging millions of cards, and from the description of what you have to do I can only envision a tedium that is beyond me.
I would focus on the search aspect as that is a common topic. I don't have an answer on how to do it, but I know from experience I have to concentrate and set aside a bit more time for your store than when shopping other venues.
I've run into the same search issues mentioned already, so what I do is go hunting for players. But even then there's an inconsistency in how the cards are listed. It took me a while to figure out that some of them are listed in groups.
One other improvement would be to allow for potential buyers to add to their cart without having to be moved to the cart each time you make a selection. That always requires a reset (of mind, not technologically). It's an addition that Sportlots made that caused me to use them a bit more than I had previously.

Taking a break until November 6th.

I have seen many posts on this site from the original poster so I appreciate his activity here. I have missed if this was ever asked so forgive me if this has been discussed previously. Why have you decided to use your own type of database that seems to have some limitations instead of using the database here?

I'm a multi time past purchaser as well. There's a difference between finding cards on my want list versus finding cards i may be willing or interested in buying.
Finding stuff on my want list means being able to search for very specific items. Even if I broaden it to say Leafs cards on my list I still have to scan everything. Previously where you could at least search by team it was much easier.
Searching for cards I might be interested in taking is fine, in particular if you remove the sold out stuff from the view.
From a technical perspective I don't know the details of your backend , but if you could figure out a way to enter the details once (made it example so don't tell me the # is wrong please). So have created a record with the details Upper Deck 2022 card #147 Morgan Rielly Toronto Maple Leafs and then just edit the inventory quantity you have as you catalog/acquire cards it would reduce the work of tagging every card.
It may even be possible to autonate
