I agree with C2. It is not that the members are "too lazy", it's that they are smart. Why pour through one members offerings when a match can search thousands of members. Seems someone is too lazy to go with an improved method that is advantageous to everyone. Too lazy to create a wantlist and wants everyone else to do his work for him.

Like I said, Im on the wrong site. If you're too lazy to check yoiur traders against my wants, then you're not inerested in completing a set or finding more cards of your favorite player.

I wasn't going to jump in, but I saw something I need to clarify.
First, welcome. Hopefully you'll see the benefits of this site. But just like anything in life, there is nothing that everyone likes. That said, I don't expect people to beg you to stay if you decide this isn't the site for you.
I took a look at your list. I'm sure it makes a lot of sense to you. It was not easy for me to follow.
Additionally, we have seen over 8,000 completed trades on here since the transaction manager has been introduced, and over 1,400 completed trades since January 1st of this year. So, if you're only basing the amount of trading that goes on here by what you see in posts, you need to investigate further.
So, if having about 18 completed trades per day in the last 2½ months isn't active enough for you, all the best to you in finding a more active site for trading.
Sorry if this comes off harsh, but one thing I've never been able to handle all my life is someone making a false accusation. If you need the facts behind my statements, I'll be glad to show you the way to find out the same info I found.

-- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024). I have added a large portion of my inventory to the site, and currently have trading turned on (details are in my profile).

I'm not sure I would trade with you due to the combative attitude I am seeing in just five posts. I've been trading on forums on the internet for 18 years now, I've pretty much seen it all...when somebody starts out that way it's usually more trouble than it's worth to try and trade with them. Everybody has a bad day so I wouldn't say never, but attacking the members here because you can't be bothered to use the website is not a good introduction.
Trading is one of the smallest aspects of this site. A byproduct of it's true purpose, really. If you stay, you'll find that most people on here would be likely to just give you a card you need, just because they know you would like it or collect that team/person/sport, rather than try to maximize what they could get out of somebody for it.
You're probably used to the combative, hate everything nature of the blowout forum...you won't find that here, we actually care about our other members and the hobby here. It can take some time to get acclimated to a positive atmosphere that we have here after years of bad experiences elsewhere...

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I think rather than be defiant in "my way works for me", everyone just needs to understand that there are tools in place. Some people will use them, and some won't. That will either make trades happen, or it won't.
I've been on this site for 4 1/2 years and I've only recently begun to add trade and want lists. And I've already got some trades in the works. And with some very helpful members too.

In three years of active trading on this site, I have 175 trades complete and several more on the go; I have sent out over 11,000 cards and received back over 9,000. Definitely not "too lazy" to go through someone's wantlist, that is, if it was the only way to make a trade. Fortunately this site does all that for me.
I am nowhere near the top trader on this site (maybe because of the wall on the border).
Good luck in pursuing your trades elsewhere.

You mean the "postal wall"?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Lazy? I would consider myself efficient. I try and always take the path of least resistance. When I came to this site I was only interested in checklists. That changed in 2016 when I decided to try and trade some cards I did not want anymore. The journey has been fruitful. Yes, I have spent hours at times entering items for trades and wants. 24,000+ cards later I have done quite well with trading. I even bought and sold some cards.
Lazy? Yes. I let the Transaction Manager do the work for me. Yes. I let the Database compare my lists to other lists. It is the least I can do for myself after spending time entering items here on the database.
Enough comment on this thread. I think I need a nap. On second thought I think I will enter some items into my Collection.
