“ Rookie longevity is almost an oxymoron, but with Zach Ertz they got it right. And a half decent auto as well. ” -Tscastle

“ NIce looking auto card, even if it is a stickergraph. Just a nitpick I guess but I am really super tired of the way foil on cards does not scan, or scans looking totally black. ” -captkirk42

“ One of my card design pet peeves is when the player name is shiny and embossed like on this card— I've also seen it in many 90s baseball cards and it's frustrating. My eyes don't like it and it doesn't scan well either. ” -twinswin
  5
“ This will make a lot of people happy (I think) a panini card that doesn’t use the same photo (or scan) more than once! ” -Awesomo1389

“ Nice auto. Only if it wasn’t an eagles player. Sticker autos suck just like the eagles. ” -Papayanz

There should be quality control on Autographs. Pay them based on the proportion of letters signed from their original signature. No more writing initials and calling it a signature. It's lazy and insulting to consumers.

In 2013, Ertz had 739 autograph cards released. Panini issued 325 of them. Of those 325, 22 of them were not serial numbered. The other 303 serial numbered cards add up to a total population of 11,751 cards. That's 11,751 signatures, whether written on a sticker or the card directly. To put that in perspective, Ertz would have had to sign his name about 32 times per day, every day, for a full year to meet that criteria - and remember, that doesn't count the 22 cards without a serial number.

That's just one company, in one year. Ertz has a total of 1,022 autographed cards between 2013 and 2023.

If I had to sign that many stickers and/or cards, I'd switch to my initials almost immediately, no matter how much money the company is paying me. I don't see how anyone can blame an athlete for doing so either, and I would daresay that Panini (or any trading card company) asking a player to sign their name almost 12,000 times in a calendar year is borderline insulting to the individual in question.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Panini cards suck. All of their crap looks the same, year after year. I won't buy their products.
