Who is Topps trying to kid? The first complete set was in 1951. It contained 104 base cards and 2 traded/update cards for total of 106 cards. The set was released in two series: A-series (Red Backs) and B-series (Blue Backs). The 2 traded/update cards were release with the A-series. The card size was standard issue for the day, following right in line with the '48, '49, and '50 Bowman sets.
