According to the book Hockey card stories, (page 131) by Ken Reid this is actually not Bryan Maxwell. At the time of writing the book the real Bryan Maxwell didn't seem to know who it was.

It is interesting to note that the player biography is in French on the top (rear of card) & English on the bottom, same as card #88 while the rest of the cards in this set are the opposite. English on top & French on the bottom. |
