I believe this is an error on the card back: According to Baseball Reference.Com, Josh Gibson never played for the Kansas City Monarchs. He played for the Pittsburgh Crawfords, Homestead Grays and Vera Cruz in the Mexican League. And I believe the uniform depicted on the front is the Homestead Grays. |
