Here in Sacramento, Topps Series 2 has been available in abundance, as I have put together almost 2 complete sets of series 1 & 2. Just bought a box of Updates, the price wasn't horrible, and I have put together 286 of the 300 in the set, but no SP's or SSP's.

I feel like in Topps Blaster Boxes. There are so many duplicates if you get more than one. It is so annoying!

I really get confused with Major League Material Relics and the Black one. I had a Black one and they looked so similar I didn't know the difference.

Thanks for the information . Seems to be a shortage all over . I hope that Topps will extend the production schedule to accommodate for at least some the down time But I have a feeling 2020 series 2 ( forever will be know as" the pandemic set" )and update sets , if topps decides to produce one will command premium prices on everything from common cards to ssp variations . Do to the time frame in the process of printing Topps might have to reduce the size of the print runs in order. to accommodate the other product lines they manufacture . Question for everyone . What is anyones opinion on maybe Topps dropping. the inserts for series 2 and going with a 70 - 90's type print run of a basic set with major stars cards ending in zero , team checklist, base all stars and a update set of 132 with no inserts but including. for this year.award winners a few rookies and veterans and resume regular production next year . Something else that needs to be considered will be scammers producing counterfeit cards.

I do not know what parts of the US you guys live in but in the Knoxville Tennessee area there not any Topps Series 2 Cards available. I have tried all the 4 Targets ,6 Wal - Greens ( which was rumored to be stocking Topps this year) and even checked about 9 different Wal - Marts. I did not know if Topps was late in releasing due to the pandemic or the vender is MIA or what. I had speculated maybe the vender was holding the cards back to force up the prices in the event the baseball season was cancelled, and then would stock the retailers with a large price increase.

Anyone have any idea when the 2020 Topps Factory set will be released?

I have heard 7/1... 7/30... and 9/30... which basically means no one has a clue.

I have complete Topps 2020 Series 1 but, still working on many insert sets and today I begun working on Series 2 bought, two hanger boxes at Target.

for those set builders you have to understand many insert sets you will never, ever be able to find them I always build the insert sets that are more attainable when building my binder sets.

Aloha I'm really just concerned that the same thing will happen as before with too many sets too many inserts and parallels and with Covid-19 money will be tighter nationwide. i don't understand the point of the holiday set and if A&G that I like why A&G X tops will put itself out of biz if it doesn't rethink and adjust. maybe partner with Cameo on IG as a why to get a voice call similar to an Auto but for the newer generation.

Thanks Mickey for the post,
Those are all fair comments. Makes me wonder if the quality you speak of will have a larger impact on the company? Saw a break of the new tins the other day just after I picked one up at a local Walmart. Guess they will be collectible as well. They were supposedly going for a high price on E-bay, but that is not surprising and the guys doing the break felt they would be more plentiful soon...I have recently read some articles that Topps is struggling financially..based on it's last quarter earnings..
Happy collecting, I likely will buy a couple from each series, packs, couple of tins, some hanger boxes, couple of blaster boxes, and a factory set and call it good.
Signed,
"Tired of chasing a zillion parallels."

I was able to pick up a blaster box from walmart and, 2 value packs from Target and I am very disappointed in each. First there were 11 doubles cards pulled out of 198 cards totally.

There were several ding corners and one insert card was really bent like the pack was searched and this was out of the value packs, I suggest to stay away from buying those value packs based on possible search packs causing ding corners and bent card during the search.

Next were the 2 chrome turkey red cards I pulled the were in horrible shape. 1 card are chrome loss above the player head, other card had what I use in my coin collecting days as bag marks little scratches.

This 2020 Topps series 1 Flagship brought me back to those days Topps didn't care about adding doubles to each pack and blaster box the produced. This years set is a step down compared to last years nice looking set. Even this years paper stock seem thinner which can cause ding corners so, handle with care.

Over all, I think Topps could have taken a bit more care in this years Flagships production, I give this years grade rate a 4.5 but, I will still build the set that's who I am; a set builder..
