It’s safe to argue this sets’ design revolutionized the graphic elements of sports cards today. Gone were photos that took up all of a fronts’ real estate. In its’ place were geometric patterns, a variety of vibrant colors, and a gold border which brought everything together. Skybox deserves an “A” for effort, and the amount of stars showcased makes this release a leader for its’ time.
This set was really cool when it came out, and although not a highly sought after set, I like the simplicity of the design. Especially on the back. Rating: 8
1st packs I ever opened. Remember that day like it happened last week! I pulled a Kemp rookie and thought I hit the lottery. I was hooked - LOL
This set is known for the funky graphics on the card fronts. But a few cards have unusual back photos:

The first pack I ever opened. I really like this set. Still enjoy looking at it in the special binder.
Hi, do the Rodman and KJ error cards really exist? Should i leave spaces for them in my Ultra Pro pockets? Rating: 8
First card set I ever collected. Yeah, they look a little cheesy now -- but in 1990, this was cutting-edge! |
