I collect most anything related to the Baltimore Orioles, as they have been my favorite team since I was a very young boy in the early 1960s. My first-grade experience was great because that fall of 1966, my beloved Orioles won their first World Series by sweeping the Dodgers in four games. I've been hooked ever since. I have complete and partial team sets going back to 1954, and St. Louis Browns team sets (Bowman and Topps) back to 1950. Oriole team sets from the mid to late 1960s and most of the early 1970s is where I'm missing the most cards.
I like to limit plain white envelope (PWE) trades to 18 cards or less to avoid parcel charges. However, if I have to go to the parcel post rate, I'll normally go with the bubble mailer with tracking (BMWT) routine, and mail 100 or more cards at a time. The largest trades I've done so far were 253 cards and 357 cards. Pulling and packing that many cards at one time sure was interesting!
Right now, I'm concentrating on completing the following sets and the cards missing from these sets are already included in my want list:
2024 Topps Update (100%) - need #US1b for a master set.
2024 Topps Holiday (100%) - need 30 cards for a master set.
2025 Topps #1 (99%) - need #498 for a base set.
2025 Topps #2 (99%) - need #498 for a base set.
2024 Topps Archives (99%) - need 1 card for a base set.
2023 Topps Update (99%) - need 3 cards for a base set.
2025 Topps Update #1 (99%) - need 3 cards for a base set.
2024 Topps (99%) - need 4 cards for a base set.
1994 Ted Williams (99%) - need 5 cards to complete set.
1992 Leaf Studio (99%) - need 5 cards for a base set.
1991 Fleer Ultra (99%) - need 6 cards for a base set.
2023 Topps (98%) - need 11 cards for a base set.
1992 O-Pee-Chee Premier (96%) - need 8 cards for a base set.
2024 Bowman (95%) - need 5 cards for a base set.
2025 Topps Update #2 (95%) - need 17 cards for a base set.
As mentioned up above, I like to limit plain white envelope (PWE) trades to 18 cards or less to avoid the parcel charges. However, if I have to go to the parcel post rate, I'll normally go with the bubble mailer with tracking (BMWT) routine, and mail 100 or more cards at a time. The largest trade I've sent out so far was 353 cards during mid-May and involved near 750 cards total in the trade.
