Picture featured is me around age 13-14 getting my baseball signed by Mickey Mantle. I played baseball for 13 years (non professional) Pitched till I was 21 (Little League-College). Also played SS and 3B.I wore jersey #14 in honor of Jim Rice and Pete Rose. I've been collecting baseball cards since 1971. Favorite looking cards are the 1955 topps, 1972 topps, 2021 Panini prizm stained glass cards. I consider cards to be art, my collection of cards are my miniature Rembrandts, Van Gogh's, Picasso's. I appreciate the work that goes into making these small pieces of art, from the professional photography to graphic design, to detailed statistics. Hopefully more people will appreciate the creativity that goes into making sports cards and how they also record history for us on a 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch card.
