I collected as a kid in the ’80s/‘90s. Like many here, life pulled me away from the hobby and now I’m back in. I’m building a few sets both modern and vintage, and I’m collecting my favorite teams and some of my favorite players. I enjoy seeing how others approach collecting, and I love being part of the TCDb community.
What are my top priorities (want to complete in 2026)?
- 2025 Heritage (706/725 96.4%) - just need High Number SPs.
- 1971 Topps Vg-Ex master set, building primarily through TCDb (718/760 - 94.5% complete) - Looking for Vg-Ex, but for SPs/stars/HOFers I’d take filler cards.
- 70/100 unique Tarik Skubal cards by the end of 2026.
- Giants PC - This project has sort of sneaked up my priority list. My son and I are beginning to fill a binder with our favorite Giants from the dynasty era of his childhood: Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Madison Bumgarner, Brian Wilson, Sergio Romo, Buster Posey, and the guys from the mid 80s up to that point. We are also collecting all Mothers Cookies, Keebler, Chevron, and Emerald SGA Giants - I will trade in your favor for these.
What are my secondary projects (ongoing)?
- 2020 Heritage set build (626/725 86.3% complete) - thank you SirNailhead and Geoff2568 for the BIG help!
- 2026 Heritage (238/400 59.5% complete)
- 1972 Topps master set build (725/797 91.0% complete) looking for Ex+.
- 1984 Donruss master set build (359/687 52.3%) - While I obviously view this as a worthwhile pursuit, I would consider commons as trade filler. Looking for ExMt or better.
- 2025 Allen & Ginter base/SPs/inserts - set build (343/350 98% only need base cards, 37/40 92.5% Wicked Curves, 37/40 92.5% Sweet Victory). I have A LOT of dupes. Set builders hit me up and let’s knock out your lists!
- Twins PC/Frankenset - building a run of Twins cards from 1 to ~792 like building a set, but from all across history.
- 2024-26 Cubs - my wife’s favorite team
- Interested in soccer (Manuel Neuer and 2019-20-21 FC Bayern München), ‘94-95 Quebec Nordiques for my brother, and some non-sport (Star Wars/Superman/Batman movies of my childhood).
What is my trading philosophy (NOT a set of arbitrary rules for you to trade with me)?
I love the TCDb community. I have met some truly amazing people and I do find more value in the connections than in any cards that may change hands. I love trading and I send as many proposals as time allows. I don't mind 1 for 1 low value card trades if we have a good interaction beyond the cards changing hands. I care as much about you feeling good about a trade as I do, so counters are always welcome. Feel free to send me a trade or a message. I love to hear from fellow hobby enthusiasts!
I am happy to sell anything on my For Sale/Trade list though I am not seeking out sales. I will occasionally buy on TCDb, but most of the time I'm the one asking if a person would be open to selling or a hybrid trade/cash arrangement for something that would not be obtainable with the cards I have to trade. If you are looking to propose a sale, I am mainly only open to offers of set builder/bulk vintage or Heritage lots (base and/or SPs) priced to move or Giants wantlist cards, Cal Raleigh, Trey Yesavage, or Tarik Skubal. I don't flip these - I'm purely a collector. Message me if you have a deal in mind.
I’ll try to state my intended shipping method before we’ve both accepted, but if it has not been explicitly stated, it is PWE.
Here is what I personally commit to as a trader:
- Weigh and affix appropriate postage
- Packing appropriate for trade size and content
- Ensure the envelope can fit through the Post Office’s 1/4” template without force, so it will not be deemed a package and create $4.00+ of postage due to my recipient
- Scotch tape on the closure of the envelope to ensure the glue does not fail if it is humid or damp
- Include the transaction ID inside and/or outside the envelope
- Fold over tabs on tape to make it easy to remove
- Only semi rigid top loaders in PWEs
- Ghosting isn’t called for and I won’t do it - if you ghost once we have both accepted a trade, I will give negative feedback
- Communication of any shipping delays (life happens and cards are nobody’s top priority)
- Quick resolution to my errors
- Give you multiple opportunities to resolve your errors without resorting to negative feedback (only 1 given in >280 trades)
- Leave feedback on all trades - TCDb runs on feedback
- Help new traders (regardless of time on TCDb) to make first trades, traders who need a North Dakota trade to hit 50 states, and set builders to complete sets
My aim is for my incoming feedback to reflect these commitments, which in turn should represent a positive contribution to the TCDb community. Thank you!
