I’m a set builder. I mostly collect Hockey, but I'm also working a few 80s-90s baseball / football sets, some Multi-sport and a few non-sports sets.

I also collect several regional players. My top priorities are:

  • Pierre Turgeon (#2 on TCDB)
  • Stephane Matteau (#1 on TCDB)
  • Eric Desjardins (#1 on TCDB)
  • André Racicot (#1 on TCDB)
  • Jean-Guy Trudel (#1 on TCDB)
  • Serge Aubin (#1 on TCDB)

I also have a few low-priority side projects : Montreal Canadiens / Expos; some more regional players; ... ++

"Variations"... For my HOCKEY wantlist, the variations listed are the version I need. For BASEBALL and FOOTBALL, I only want one card / number so any version is OK.  The variations listed on my For sale / For trade list are correctly listed... but I will be double-check before including them in a trade.

I always pull cards before accepting/proposing a trade and will inform you of any condition exceptions.

I would prefer to trade Young Guns / #ed RC / star players inserts/parallels for similar cards but I'm not too strict on this.

------

For Sale/Trade list

Older cards (80"s - Hockey & Baseball) are not listed yet, as condition varies and it's not an easy task for me to grade them appropriately...

-------------

Following a few problems with the postal service, Here the way I will send cards outside of Canada

For trade of 4 cards or less : inserted (sleeved, taped) within a greeting card.

For 15 cards of less : PWE --> 9-pockets sleeve "protected" in a paper sheet (no cardboard). I don't mind sending 2 PWE for a trade.

For larger trade  : I must send the cards as "Parcel" (12$+) so I would prefer trades where I receive at least 100 cards (may be less cards if inserts / parallels /YGs / #ed RC are involved).

--------------------------------------------------

Thanks

BIO

Thank you for your interest in my profile! My name is Jack and I'm a hobbyist & collector in southern NJ. I live in the greater Atlantic City area and am a lifelong supporter of Philadelphia sports franchises. I stepped away from the hobby for almost 30 years until my oldest son reignited my interest in mid-2023.

___________

BASEBALL

My personal collection of sports cards & memorabilia is mainly baseball. Go Phillies! I'm a set-builder, through-and-through and I especially enjoy the chase of hunting the variety of parallels, refractors, and inserts in recent Topps and Bowman sets (i.e., from about 2020 onwards).

I'm just now starting to explore the vintage card space, as well, but am warming to it a lot more slowly, mainly due to my own ignorance. I'm considering making the 1953 Bowman Color set my White Whale; they're just so attractive to the eye. However, I'm working on the 1957 Topps set as a more accessible entry point into collecting sets from the era. Please feel free to offer up additional suggestions.

I'm less interested in junk wax, but don't hold me to that.

___________

NON-SPORTS

A lot of my recent collecting has been focused on all manner of non-sports trading cards. I'm especially interested in products featuring characters from Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Star Trek: TNG, or anything tied to pop culture of past eras. I'm also really starting to enjoy historical sets. Finally, I'm a child of the '80s and '90s, so I have a soft spot for anything released from about 1975 to 2000, but I can also appreciate oldies, especially if it's film or television.

TRADING PHILOSOPHY

  • Will consider trades of all shapes and sizes
  • Will also consider any purchase offers made in good faith
  • Will trade and ship to all 50 U.S. states, U.S. territories, U.S. military POs, and Canada with limited exceptions
  • Will consider other international trades if responsibility for payment of shipping costs is agreed upon in advance
  • Will ship via PWE with 'Non-machinable' label and sufficient First Class Mail postage by default, unless weight/size restrictions prevent doing so
  • Will happily send via other methods (e.g., with tracking enabled) upon request, especially for high-value items; prior agreement on this point must be established before either party sends out their leg of the trade, else the above, default method will take precedence
  • Love the site's PIF mentality; I try to keep trade proposals balanced and kindly ask my trading partners to do the same
  • Communication is the key — please accept/decline proposals in a timely manner, convey information about delays or returned packages, or just tell me that life is getting in the way and you need a few days

*** trades  CLOSED at  this time**

Will listen to small sale offers if I have something you need a lot.*******

Cardinals Baseball any year any brand

Some Vintage Topps Baseball Set Building (in any condition).....

Also doing 9 page project of John Riggins (Football/Redskins), see want list, can use dupes of some.

Memphis Grizzlies basketball added to want list past few years

I have NOT separated my traders into dot and no dot variations (or letter variations).  If this matters to you, I do not mind checking for a particular one for your want list...

I do expect nm or better condition on 81-present cards (unless agreed upon lower condition in messages)  On vintage, I collect any condition except on upgrade lists.

If you do want to trade vintage, please be clear on what your condition requirements are....many of my extra vintage are in lower conditions..

Oddball/Food Issue/Magazine/insert cards- Typically these have a much smaller print run/population than regular set cards like topps, fleer, upper deck etc.    When trading for these, I like to get similar for similar.  I will likely not accept a trade offer of oddball card for regular issue set cards.

Completed 2812+ trades with 641 different traders (in multiple groups) since 2005

Have lots of wants on my web page, not on this database

Everything in dupes collection is available for trade even if not in trade/sales list

I can only ship on weekends ....

Some of you may be frustrated that I turn off trades, but here is why:

I am in multiple trading groups, and simply do not have time to do more than 1 or 2 trades at a time

I am open to offers if you want to buy although my primary focus is trading.

Lifetime set collector of baseball, Hockey, and some Racing sports cards. I have a data base of 79 000 cards in 1950 sets & growing. I normally use "The Card Collector" platform to catalogue my collection. I will be however be inputting my entire collection here. I do have a very large number of doubles that I am looking forward to trading with some of you. I will not be inputting any of the doubles, however I will provide a list for Baseball and Hockey for the sets I have.

I am also a collector of: Postage stamps, Coins, Comics, Coca-Cola, Model Cars.

If you have any questions on what I have, feel free to message. I will not look for single cards.

Baseball doubles that I have start at 1980 and up.

I collect mostly baseball, any year or any brand. I've been out of the hobby for many years. I'm just now getting back into it. I finally have all of my baseball in. Now I'm working on football.. The basketball and oddball stuff is in as well. Some hockey is in, but after talking to my wife, she wants to start collecting VGK. 😅

Spending more time organizing and less time trading at the moment. Hoping to close up some current trades, one I suspect will be awhile but I'm confident he'll come through eventually.
