I collect cards from the 1997 Upper Deck MLS collection.
An important collection in soccer history, this was the first national set of cards and special inserts to feature players of Major League Soccer (MLS) in their inaugural 1996 season -- the return of professional soccer to the United States. Strange logos, quirky uniforms, and cards to perfectly match. A set with a limited production run and low sales that is difficult to complete in high grade.
Sold in 1997, these iconic cards feature players of the original ten MLS teams. Now in its 26th season, the league is comprised of 24 teams in the U.S. and 3 in Canada, expanding to 30 teams by the 2023 season.
