Primarily collect LSU players (Football, Basketball, Baseball) and then enjoy set building as I have numerous in the works for the 3 major sports..
I’ve loved being a part of the TCDB community in the year or so I’ve been on. I really enjoy trading, so please send any and all trade offers my way! I typically respond within a day and ship within no more than 2 days of accepting a trade. I typically do not purchase cards, but for the right LSU player(s) I would entertain an offer.
My story and connection with sports cards is not too dissimilar to a lot of us who are now in our 30s-40s…
Sports card collecting, primarily basketball, was a big passion and hobby of mine throughout most of my childhood. This dissipated as I got into high school, college, and adulthood. It wasn’t until a trip to my parents’ house in the summer of 2024 that my interest was reignited. The intention of the trip was to help clear out some of their storage units and just generally de-hoard their property. As it turns out, I came across binders of my sports cards I collected from my childhood, which of course my parents had kept stored for ~20 years. Once I got back home with them, it quickly turned into a full-blown obsession. Just ask my wife. 😊
After finding TCDB I began completing sets of the 90s NBA cards, and have since branched out into the NFL, as my 7-year-old son loves football (especially LSU and LSU players in the NFL). It has been a great way to spend time together and enjoy something we both love.
My public service announcement:
The 1990s was the best era of the NBA, and there is no question about it. I was a massive San Antonio Spurs fan and David Robinson was my hero. The Jordan bulls, Pat Riley’s Knicks, Karl Malone and Stockton’s Jazz, Charles Barkley, Olajuwon and the Rockets, Shaq and Penny, the list goes on. This was also the time of the most iconic sports telecast intro music. Who can forget the NBA on NBC intro playing as the telecast began for a Sunday afternoon marquee matchup or a big playoff game? The best, simply the absolute best folks.
