I collected, traded and flipped cards as a young kid decades ago, but gave that up going into 7th grade.  I just started collecting again and my hope is to create a nice collection of my childhood era cards.  Early '70's are my hope but I'm attempting to complete a Topps Baseball collection of the years from the early 1970s through the end of the 1980's.  Since I resumed collecting, I'm also completing Topps baseball sets from 2025 through current as time passes.  I'm doing all this to pass along to my kids when my time on this planet expires (hope they appreciate it).
