Collecting all Topps Baseball base sets from 1956 to present. If I have something on my ForSale/Trade list that you need and you have nothing on my Wantlist, I can sell those cards at a very reasonable price, just please make an offer, don't make me do all the work!.
VAR's: If it's important to you to get a specific variation in a trade, please let me know so I can be sure I have the correct one for you.
Effective 9/1/2025 I will only trade/ship/mail within the US (with a very few exceptions...you know who you are!).
Health Issues: In remission from Esophageal Cancer, had Esophagectomy (removed my esophagus and stomach, made new parts out of my intestines, put my new "stomach" into my chest). Now I have a few eating issues but I'll take what I can get. I occasionally have "stretches" done to my new esophagus so I can swallow food better. I get infusions of iron as needed for anemia. I've had reconstructive surgery on my neck, six times repairing/replacing discs in my back, had both elbows rebuilt, and both hands (nerves and/or tendons repaired/replaced)...and more surgeries to come! All that damage was from running my own logging/firewood business for 32+ years, just beating the s**t out of my body. Due to the long term side effects of the drugs used to put me to sleep for the 30+ surgeries I've had, I have a very limited ability to remember things. I'm a proud veteran (USMC), small farmer (30 #$@#ing chickens as of right now), part time logger & firewood dealer.
In July of 2021 I lost my wife of 50 years to lung cancer (did I say that I hate cancer?). This site and it's members became a lifesaver and a great distraction for me so that I could get through the many rough periods of my life. So that I can continue to be an active member on this site without worrying about memory issues, my BFF, Mary, has pretty much taken over most of the actual data input and trade manager duties. I still love to trade though and really enjoy the interaction with the members on this site. I actually NEED this site...it helps me with some of the "other" issues I have. Thanks to the many members who have interacted with us so far, I hope we can do more...send me some Vintage trades!

Collecting just about everything right now. I started collecting baseball cards in 1962. Unfortunately, I stopped collecting in 1966 and gave away all my cards for a promise of comic books I never got. I am particularly interested in the Pirates from the early 60's. I got to see a few of them close up when they visited my hometown in western PA back around 1963. Ever hear of Clemente, Mazeroski, Clendennon, Virdon or Stargell? A few months ago I decided to start collecting again after nearly 60 years. I AM NOT INTERESTED in selling, only trading, although I may consider buying. When buying, I usually will consider offers of 500 cards or more and generally only pay no more than ($1.00/cards before 1970, $0.25/cards 1970-1979, $0.05/cards 1980+) and shipping. These prices are for cards in good shape. Older, damaged cards I will pay less for. Of course I will entertain offers for the higher value cards. NOTE: Since my cards come from many different sources, their condition varies. If I have more than one copy of a card available, I will send you the card in the best condition. If you are not happy with the condition of any cards I send, please contact me so we can work out a solution acceptable to you. I ask that if you propose a trade or sell, that you do not wait for my cards or check to be delivered before you ship your cards. Trust is a two-way street. I am in this because I enjoy it, not to make money or rip-off people. I do not collect basketball or hockey cards so I will only trade those cards for baseball or football cards.
After 18 months of collecting and hundreds of transactions, these are things that I have learned.
I may not accept offers where a member offers me a bunch of low value cards for a high value card. You want a $5 card I have, then offer a card of equivalent value.
There are a lot of cards out there of hall-of-famers, but many are not worth more than the average for that set. Please do not try to pass them off as more valuable.
I usually pull the cards a person wants/needs before accepting or proposing a transaction. If you make an offer and I can't find a card(s), I will let you know and remove them in a counter. Forgetting to manually make corrections to the database introduces errors.
I do want to mention that recently I have been interested in collecting smaller sets such as food and department store issues as well as inserts such as MVP, All-Stars, puzzles and stickers of various brands from the 1980's and 1990's.
The Bo Jackson card, 1986 Topps Traded 50T, I have available is reserved to trade for a Clemente or Mazeroski card from a year they played. I would consider making up the difference in value.

I really enjoy trading and interacting with the good people of this community. However Imy sale/trade collection is still disorganized and I have thousands of cards to enter in both collection and S/T, so I have decided to take the summer off from active trading.
As one of the lucky ones whose Mom did NOT throw away my childhood card collection, when I started back interested in the hobby in the early 1980s, I had a lot of late 50's early 60s cards to work with. Completed my 1961 card set, except for the hard-to-define, yet alone find, errors and variations. Working on 1959, 1960 and 1963 Topps sets although cost is a deterrent for many of the cards I'm missing! Trying to complete the inserts of 1961: Stamps, rub-offs, and World Series pennants. Working to complete1955 Topps All-American, 1955 Bowman and 1957 football sets.
Favorite Players to collect: Hank Aaron (trying for top 10 list), Mike Schmidt, Richie Ashburn
Favorite Teams: 1950s Brooklyn Dodgers especially the 1955 World Series team. Milwaukee Braves especially 1957 WS team, but trying to get "something" from everyone who played for the Milwaukee version of the Braves. Philadelphia Phillies of Vet era especially (looking for "something" from anyone who actually played at the Vet for the Phils). Also collecting pre-andpost Vet Phils rather randomly.
Highest priority modern era set to complete: 1992 Fleer without worrying about versions (can't see the dots anyway!) Other partial sets are low priority even if on Want List.
2025 prediction: Cowboys 7-9-1. Prove me wrong. I hated to be right but I predicted this right after the Green Bay tie (was originally 7-10). Next year, most likely 8-9 since Jerry won't add any necessary players.
The #1 collector of Dallas Cowboy cards (18,100+) on tcdb.com as of November 12, 2021 (my wife is so proud of me, said no card collector ever) ... Thanks to all that have traded with me. I look forward to more trades to take this collection to completion (150,000 more)!!

UPDATE 2025: Haven't been active much the past year because I was in the process of selling my home and moving to a new city. Took the time to organize and declutter cards in my collection. Now that I am all settled in and ready to work some trades. Always willing to trade and work out deals with members of this cool community.
Trades:
Small trades in PWE with penny sleeves into team bags with a card protector.
Larger trades up to 18 cards in 9-page sheet in PWE unless requested otherwise.
Bubble mailer for deals with higher volume and amount $$
I am a Buyer if you like to sell. The better the deal the more I'll spend.
My main focus has always been Topps Baseball, Basketball, and Football Sets.
I did collect Donruss and Fleer in the 80s and 90s.
Since Topps got out of Basketball and Football I have branched out to other Brands.
If I stumble across a Starter Set of anything I will generally try to complete that Set.

I am getting 1970s Baseball and earlier entered. I am looking for the following Conditions when trading. With trades I will be looking for comparable Cards for my Conditions or Quantity to make the difference.
1972-I am close to having a very nice Complete Set. I would like to continue that but will trade for fillers.
1973-Looking for any Condition.
1974-I have a very nice Complete Set with some HOFs in Top Loaders. I am looking for a filler in the Album so rough Condition is fine.
I have listed Conditions for my 1970s era Traders. I feel I was hard on them and probably graded a grade or two below what they could be considered especially on the Cards marked EX. My 1974 Topps Baseball FST are in Great Condition, and I feel would make Excellent or Better additions to a Collection.
I took the time to log VARs (dot or no dot and asterisk or no asterisk, etc.). My FST will have the Correct VARs. I am looking for the Correct VARs in return.
Updated July 13, 2025-Adding more specifics to my trading. I do not collect Parallels and Numbered Cards in general so most of those go into FST. I will keep my PC along with HOFers or RCs of some Players. When offering a trade for a numbered Card or a Parallel of HOFer or RC, please offer something of value that may be harder for me to obtain. I do not want to hinder any offers, but I am likely not going to Accept an Offer for a Card that only has 4 or less available for Commons or Inserts that are plentiful. I will explore my PC in your FST if I have something you want.
Updated August 23, 2025-I am nearing completion of some Parallel Sets that I did start in 2024. I will consider trades for above mentioned Parallels and Numbered, but unless it is very lopsided my way, I will be looking to trade for similar Cards to complete Sets, Team Sets, or Player PCs.
