Boy, that's a tough one for me when you eliminate the games and planned public appearances.  If you want to include all of this database, I saw Jackie Mason in 2000 talking with someone on a Manhattan street corner after I attended a Saturday matinee of 'Miss Saigon'.  Back in the '70s and '80s, Bobby Shantz was sometimes behind the counter of an ice cream shop he owned in Chalfont, PA ... can't recall if I ever went there.  Now I'm really racking my brain ... I was in the same elementary school grade as the youngest Tripucka boy ... he and his family lived in a mansion on Broad Street in Bloomfield, NJ ... did I go to his birthday party there 50+ years ago?  If so, I would have seen his dad the ex-Bronco quarterback.  Of course, older brother Kelly Tripucka was not a pro athlete at that time!  Speaking of future pro athletes, Kevin Ward was two years ahead of me in my junior high and high school.  Just thought of someone else ... one of my high school teachers attended the Raiders (I think) training camp in 1975 as a free agent ... I remember looking up his name in the 1975 Street & Smith Pro Football yearbook.  He didn't make the team ... just can't remember his name ... I think he went to one of the Pennyslvania colleges.

@theFalcon thanks for sharing.  I've lived in a couple large cities with all the major sports so that improved my odds of running into folks.

If I ever saw Al Santorini, it was without my knowlege.  I remember seeing an advertising postcard or sheet tacked up inside a gas station minimart in Belle Mead, NJ during the '80s or '90s.  It included a pic of his 1973 (?) Topps card and it plugged a pavement stripe painting business he owned.

Just remembered that I saw ex-MLBer Bill White at my sister's high school graduation ceremony ... his son was in the same class.

I doubt that I ever bumped into Ted Kubiak.  One of the great card dealers of the '80s and '90s, John Broggi, had a store on the main drag in Highland Park, NJ.  I went there a couple of times and he had a Kubiak Oakland A's jersey on display, as he was from the same town.

I've seen women golf pros in supermarkets, shopping malls, and outside restaurants ... related to tournaments near those areas.  Does that count?

Oh, I just rememberd going to the Rizzuto-Berra bowling alley in Clifton, NJ once or twice about 50 years ago!  I remember a seeing a baseball-related trophy case there.  I seriously doubt either Phil or Yogi spent much time there.
