Finally got them all scanned and uploaded. There are still 100 or so that are not in the database yet, that I need to add.

Very nice collection.  I'm jealous as a red sox collector.

Huge Sox and Williams' fan. I have exactly 2 vintage Williams' cards (as a player). So very jealous indeed. Great collection!

Having some fun with a digital version of a hobby collection I used to do with team specific halls, well Teddy Ballgame got inducted a few years back in the San Diego Padres, the MLB one, Hall, representing the PCL Pads.  Too bad, as far as TCBD is concerned you can't find anything of Williams as a Padre until that bio set Fleer did in the late 50s-early 60s.   I'd have to do a little Google-fu, or Beckett-fu, to see if even any card product was made for those old PCL teams, but if its out there, its not in here.

Though I'd imagine with PCL being the minors, even if they had product made for them, they probably would be in very scarse supplies some 80 years later.

Also doing my research noticed that the greatest hitter in the MLB Padres' history, Tony Gwynn, wore #19, which Williams wore as a PCL Padre.  That's a very errie coincidence!

stevejrogers There is at a minimum a team issued post card of the 1937 San Dieg Poadres with Willimas on it. it sold in 2017 for only 13K. https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com/bids/bidplace?itemid=46689 I'm not aware of any individual cards of his from that era.

BTW, posted my Padre HOF list, and said the story of using a card from that 1959 Fleer bio set for the virtual list.  I was alerted to the fact that in the mid-1990s UD Heroes of Baseball subset of Teddy Ballgame featured a card with Williams in his Padre uni.

That would have been nice to know if I was still doing the physical version of the list!  I did edit the team link to the card here as it was listed as "Red Sox."

Fantastic collection! I'd like to know what the other 100 cards you have are. Do you have a web page you could show them on?

Curious, where do you get most of your cards?

Thanks for the comments guys,

Steve, I had been thinking of playing days cards as a padre, there are 3 in the 1959 set, 1 in the 1992 Heroes, and all of the 2009 Obak's pictured with the Padres. There may be more, but that is whta I can come up with off the top of my head.

Analog, the 100 have since been added. At the time of that comment, the 2005 Biography set was not inventoried here. From that set I have 51 of the 91 bat cards and 40 of the 91 regular cards. I created this list to show off my collection since I had previusly been using photobucket and have not really taken a liking to any of the other photo hosting sites.

Godzilla,

This is a result of 40 years fo collecting. Currenlty most of my card come from auctions (eBay as well as traditional auction houses), COMC, and online trading. In the past local card shops , auctions, and shows provided the bulk of my collection. Thinking about where I get them from bruoght me down memory lane this morning,  the 55 & 56 Topps I picked up in the mid 80's for less than $50 each at a card shop that used to be on Water St in Wakefield MA, the 1939 Play Ball, was from a shop in Salisbury MA run by Dick Gill (can't remember the name of the shop), the 39 Goudey, 54 Bowman, and most of the odd ball 40's and 50's wer in a huge lot I bought from Goldin Auctions.
