This was the first addition to the Classics Collection in the pandemic age. 2020 may have been my peak in autos overall, but it was the start of a heavy decline in additions to the Classics Collection.

One of the four successes I got that day, but the only one for the Classics Collection. Easily the most inscriptions I’ve gotten on a regular card. He has a huge database of AFL knowledge and cards, including many Alworth autos.

The only player I’ve gotten multiple 2018 Classics cards from. I got this letter back on my graduation day, so I think I had a pretty good day. I was debating whether to put both cards on here or not…

…so I did! I’ve heard people say that Young may be using a autopen machine to sign cards, but I don’t these are autopenned because the autos do look different (note the shape/size of the S and Y).

One of the semi-finalists for the HOF this last year, and a very overlooked WR in NFL History. This guy racked up close to 14,000 yards with Jim Everett and Drew Bledsoe being the best QBs throwing to him! Hopefully the HOF can figure out their WR backlog somewhat soon because it’ll only get worse with guys like Antonio Brown, A.J. Green, and Brandon Marshall having already retired (not to mention Julio Jones, T.Y. Hilton, and DeSean Jackson likely retiring soon).

I was happy to get this back, and my grandpa was happy to see this one too. My grandpa was a HUUUGE Redskins fan (he passed before the name change), and Theismann and Riggins were some of his favorite players for bringing the Lombardi to Washington. He never told me the specifics, but he once told me that he remembered exactly where he was when the whole L.T. thing happened.
