This was a part of one of my best streaks in my early TTM adventures. I had a success on 4 of 5 days between 9/24 - 9/28! Also one of the few HOF inscriptions in the Classics Collection.

This is one of my most recent additions to the Classics Collection. I don’t know why it took me so long to finally send to him, but I’m glad I did so I could get this beauty inked up!

This was one of my first 10 successes in 2019. I also got his RC (1973 Topps) signed with it. There was a point where I was considering sending it to Staubach to get it dual signed, but I eventually gave up on that. I still haven’t gotten Staubach for the Classics Collection yet.

Another one of the few HOF inscriptions I have in the Classics Collection. It was kinda outshined by another card I got for the collection on the same day.

I one of my other mini projects was getting all the HOF class of 1994. Why 1994? I have no idea. After I got Dorsett the only guy I needed was Randy White. You’ll see the trouble I went through with him later.

This was the third TTM auto I ever got. Fun fact: I got this letter back on my mom’s 50th birthday!

My first success of 2019! I don’t really have much else to say about this one.

This is my favorite card in my collection (not just in the Classics Collection, but in general), and the card that literally saved my life. He was one of the first players I ever sent a letter to, and he was the first TTM success I ever had. Before 2018, I felt like I had no purpose in life other than people’s emotional (and physical) punching bag because I was being bullied relentlessly due to my autism (which is barely even noticeable aside from a few little things). I had made a few attempts on my life in 2017, but I somehow made it through that year alive. When I got that letter back, something clicked in me. If Mr. Hornung had taken time out of his day to read my letter AND sign my card, then clearly I had some other purpose in life! From that day onward, Paul Hornung has been my favorite athlete of all-time. No matter how much I say I like Dobbins or Starr or Rodgers, Hornung will forever be my number one for saving my life. In March 2020, just one week before the pandemic started, he was doing a signing at a hotel ~20 minutes away from my house. Of course as soon as I found out about this I paid $90 to get a photo and a auto. I showed him the card he had signed for me two and a half years earlier, and what he said will forever be engrained in my mind. “You’re welcome”. November 13th, 2020 was one of the darkest days of my life since 2017. That photo I have with him will forever be one of the most priceless items in my collection because I can say that I was very likely one of the last people to ever get to meet Mr. Hornung in person. Thank you Mr. Hornung for all that you have done for me, and I will forever be indebted to you!

TL:DR - Paul Hornung saved my life by signing this card for me

2018 Panini Classics #135 Raymond Berry Front

This was a pretty big one for the collection, because just a few months earlier it was announced by his daughter that Mr. Berry would not be signing stuff for anyone who sent to him after 1/1/2019 due to health issues. Of course a few lucky people got around this, but I’m pretty sure I have one of the last ~50 Raymond Berry TTM autos!
