Coins

This set is Topps' second coins set (the other was in 1964). There is a color pattern to the coin fronts, with the pattern repeating every four coins. Coin #1 has a bronze rim with a green inner border, #2 has a blue rim with a red inner border, #3 a blue rim with green inner border and #4 a gold rim with red inside, etc. Two coins are exceptions to this: #65 is blue with green rather than the sequential bronze with green and #142 is gold with red instead of blue with red.

Proof Sets (2)

		All-Star Rookies Artist's proof set of 10 cards of players who earned the Rookie Star designation for the ’70 season and, thus, have a trophy on their base cards in ‘71. Hobby research suggests only 1 set was ever produced.
		Pre-Production Proofs These are unissued cards with blank backs showing players on teams that are different than the team shown on their base card from this set. All of the players changed teams early in the 1971 season.
