Rack pack packaging does not get listed as an “insert”. This has been discussed before.

I'm not sure how this is packaging? This is a card that came inside the packaging. It is an advertising card for the card locker similar to the ad cards in wax packs for sweatshirts or binders in the 80's which are listed as inserts.

You referenced the top of the rack pack that says "39 cards only 59 cents". That's part of the packaging, not a "card".

Please take a look at the links to pictures I posted. It is indeed a card inside the cellophane. It's not part of the package.

This is different than the one you're referring to. That one had a grommeted hole, a blank circle to mark the price, a UPC code, and blank back.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Thank you Chuck. I also think this thread should get moved from the 1979 set to a mystery card forum. I think I'll add insert cards for 1977-1979 Topps sets for.these inserts into rack packs. I can scan and add mine for what was likely from 1977 based on the ebay offering edk linked to.

I saw the links that were posted. It's packaging.

This is the same type of card that was posted previously and Admin removed.

I have a dumb question Dan: How is a Box Bottom listed as an insert card, but this card which is inside the packaging considered packaging? A box bottom is literally part of the package (box). This is a card that came in the packaging along with the other cards, it is not part of the packaging. Why would it be removed?
Also, how can we get this off the 1979 Topps Baseball forum and on to the Mystery card forum or at least on the 1977 Topps Baseball Card forum since that is where it came from now that the mystery has been solved.
Thank you!
