In the 1990's, I couldn't agree with that, but that's b/c there were other "price guides" with similar values for the same cards. Today, I can completely agree with that. Now Beckett doesn't update old stuff and they don't even bother to update new stuff unless it's the "HOT" player at the moment. Even Beckett's MDM (market data management) system completely sucks and doesn't have all the info they claim to use to get to a value for any specific card. It's so bad that Beckett customers complained about having to pay for the MDM along with a basic OPG and Beckett finally dumped the MDM from the basic OPG packages. Why anyone would pay Beckett for the MDM version is beyond my comprehension b/c the MDM was always a couple of months behind real-time anyway.
Beckett is LOST in the hobby and oddly, they don't know why. Everyone on their forums has been telling them why for almost a decade now. They just don't read the forums, don't care to fix errors or add missing cards when they are blatantly pointed out to them and with proof, and apparently only care about the money. If they really cared about the cards, they'd do something to keep the existing or remaining customers. I've directed SO MANY Beckett members to this site b/c of their complaints about Beckett in the past few years. Beckett may not care about their customers, but I do care about the brethren of card collectors. So I send them here! This is the best place to be for talking cards, collecting/cataloguing cards, trading cards and just talking about our favorite sports. Beckett sucks, but unfortunately for me, I still haven't moved all my card info to this site yet. So I need my old info from there to add the rest of my stuff to here. The Beckett Forums are awesome with great people posting stuff, but that's really the only thing left on Beckett to make it worth visiting the site.
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now.
