It's a subtle difference and has me wondering how many of the 1970 have it and how many don't OR
did they run 2 batches?
Anyone have some insights or ideas?
Thank you for any time you invest in this it is greatly appreciated.

Here is the card in the database:
I guess you're talking about the USA Hockey logo on the back? Could it be that someone mass uploaded the wrong backs here? That does happen.

That is likely what happened if someone with multiple cards from this set not Team USA then they just ran with it throughout
Once again boys and girls teaching the lesson if you don't have it DON'T do it!

Looks like two members weren't paying attention and just uploaded backs without concern if it was correct.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I've seen this before on Classic multisport sets where the cardbacks were the same except certain sports had their own licensing logos at the bottom. Of course the card back they uploaded to everything was one without any of the licensing information.

I had this exact same thought after a little sleuthing, i found myself pointing at 10 as the problem.
In the history of TCDB was there ever a catalog for points redemption?
Kinda like the 1 we had here in Canada that encouraged smoking (Mark Ten)?

If you upload and replace the image, the OP keeps the points. If you get the wrong image removed, then upload correct image you get the points.

I should be able to go through what's here and identify the incorrect backs. I will submit IRs to remove them.

~Rob~ Hockey set collector including inserts, ERR, COR, VAR. Knowledgeable about 1968-69 to 1994-95 hockey. All 1990 and newer cards for trade are NRMT. Expect the same in return. 1989 and older are assigned a grade. Everything on my trade list is available for sale. Reasonable prices based on condition. If it's not on my tradelist, it's not available.
