2004 Topps Football Forum

I purchased some 2004 Topps football cards and checked them off my inventory here as Base Set cards. Later I purchased the Topps Collection parallel set but once arrived they are the same cards as what I entered as Base Set cards. Prior years' Topps Collection cards have a gold Topps Collection logo on them. But comparing images here of the Base set and Collection set, I can't discren between the two. What is the distinguishing difference between the two sets? 

From what I can tell, I don't think there are really any differences, aside from coming in the factory set box. I don't believe 2003 topps put the collection logo on the cards either, which means 2002 would have been the last year to do that. 

Edit: upon further inspection, the 2004 topps cards appear to have gold lettering at the top. 

Agreed. Also, there is a Release Note for the Collection set in here that states that it is gold foil. 

Okay these all have gold lettering so they're Collection and I still need the Base set. Thanks.
