I may be wrong about this and heaven knows I don't want to be sued by PSA. But on recent graded cards that I have seen, they put the letters "OC" onto the rating label. I am not sure if they did that originally. So the card may have been graded before they initiated that system. I have had only 4 cards graded and that was probably over 10-15 years ago.. It was done in person at a card show. The cards only had the grades on it, nothing about OC though one was slightly OC. But they put a post-it on each card pointing out "defects". A post-it would point to a corner and written on it was the word "corner". Naturally these post-its have long dried up and fell off the lucite or whatever they use to package it.

I've noticed cards I want for my PC at ridiculous asking prices....some as high as 100x the book value. I realize unique and hard to find card demand a premium.....but a premium isn't supposed to be robbery. I would love to tell these people exactly what I think.

Every time you don't bid or buy, you are telling them exactly what you think.

Pushing the Heisman or OU or both card on that one. They can't point to his NFL career which didn't meet the hype.

1974 Topps #102 Dan Goich, New York Giants is apparently alive and well coaching in High School in Texas or Oklahoma I believe. Anyway, he is buying back all his 1974 Topps Rookie Cards at outrageous prices ($30 or more). i sold a couple to a friend of mine who has his address/email, whatever, for $20 dollars each and he sells them to Dan Goich for $30 or more. Hence, the card is becoming scarce and folks like COMC and Dean's cards are taking advantage of the scarity on Ebay by trying to sell the card for $90 or more. It is a cool card; bandaid and all.

Wasn't it Andre Dawson who tried to buy all his own Finest Refractors the first year, when they were harder to find?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
