2000's use of 50 mil cards

I have a sizeable quantity of 50 mil football cards from the 2000s (2008 Bowman, 2004 Topps Draft Picks, 2005 Topps Bazooka, 2010 Topps Platinum to name a few), but Nothing seems to state there are 50 mil cards- not the site, not Beckett's Price Guides, etc. I collect Vintage and Modern (through 1999) and they are emphatic when stating a "regular" card exists, as well as a different logo, or color, or 5o mil set. Since I don't Really collect these years, I don't have any normal width cards to compare and state that the 50 mils are The Real ones. Any info would be appreciated.

Even though the measurements are the same, 1/1000 of an inch, cardstock thickness is referred to in points not mils. There are plenty of 50 pt cards in the database. Card thickness is rarely specified in the Release Notes. The only time it would be necessary would be if the only difference between a base and parallel is the card thickness. There are a few sets like this, a 2007 Bowman set comes to mind.

In Topps Platinum, the rainbow foil are thicker than the base. There are some sets where a retail and a hobby version exist, and one is thicker than the other. ------------------------------- I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
