Well it depends I guess, we can look at like DJ Skeet and his skills. We see ebay customs and other cool ideas by other companies. The one above may have lots of cards but there is only 1 of that one.
My oldest kid (not statsnerdson) but I'm encouraging her to draw cards or artwork of players or characters for the hobby. Her skills are unbelievable and if she did she could create some great stuff

It's the same marketing scam used by Burbank Sports Cards.

Using your logic every serial numbered card is a unique 1 of 1, the only card with that serial number; 01/99, 02/99, 03/99, 04/99, etc, etc, etc.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Now you're dragging ACEO cards into the discussion - that's NOT what this card is. Try to stay focused on what the discussion is about.

Well I don't see it that way. They may be unique but not one of ones
There might be a few exceptions such as if you have a Jordan card out of 99 and you have #23 /99 that may be a premium as it's his jersey.
On the one pictured it might be a nice gift for some who likes said player. They may want to display it on a book shelf or something. I don't see it's value at more than a couple bucks..

In a way it could be loosely thought of as a ACEO or a who knows Artist's invention whatever the term to be used.
It creates more products and choices for the consumer.
What happens if someone likes the player and they buy it for a friend or family member and say I view to you as 24k gold.
Well to the holder of said card to them it's priceless and they value the card. Not because it's worth a whole lot of money but because what it means.
Also it takes one away from said set so it makes the set more rarer by 1 less

The discussion of whether this is "cool" or not is moot.....this card/set does not meet the guidelines to be listed on the site.

Does Mr. Frazier know about this? Someone should tell him.

OK. Thanks for the clarification. I thought it was aftermarket produced (and not licensed aftermarket like a buyback or anniversary redistribution type of card) making it not listable here. Wanted to clarify other's opinions to make sure "24K Gold Collectibles" listed at the bottom wasn't a corporation I just wasn't familiar with.

Matt Kenseth card collection is nearing 50% with over 2300 different cards. Always looking for the missing remainders to get to 100% completion.

If I PC'd Frazier I would think it was cool too. I also think Jersey Fusion is cool. And Baseball Card Vandals. There's room in the collecting world for all tastes.
