I am wondering if there is a 3rd variation notlisted. The hol0gram I have on card 359 is not the 92 variation nor is it the 91 variation with just Upper Deck written in it. I can clearly see Upper Deck and a backwards 90 in it. I noticed it in a few other cards as well.

This is the 1990-91 Upper Deck NHL hologram. UD used this on several 1991 sets but far less common on 1991-92 UD NBA.

So I read the article forum on it and doesn't give a solution. Might as well add another var as it may be a error but a listing should happen for trading reasons

NO. Printing errors are NOT listed here (or anywhere for that matter).

What is the difference between this and, say, the 1991 UD Baseball cards with "1990-91 Crossed Hockey Sticks" holograms?
If I understand correctly:
- 1991 Upper Deck Baseball w/ 1990-91 Crossed Hockey Sticks Hologram" - Variation (listed)
- 1991-92 Upper Deck Basketball w/ 1990-91 Crossed Hockey Sticks Hologram - Print flaw (not listed)
This is the exact same issue from two different sets produced by the same company for the same calendar year.

There aren't enough examples of 91-92 Basketball or Hockey using the 90-91 hologram to consider it another VAR. Anything from those years that wasn't the 91 Text or 92 Diamond is a printing error.

How many constitutes enough? There are several on comc, particularly in the 300s numbers. This lines up with 1991 UD MLB in that certain hologram types are only found in certain 100-block sequences in the set.
I'll reiterate that I have done a ton of research and work on these UD hologram variations, albeit most of it ten+ years ago. There is certainly a "language" or 'system' to it and after enough time with them, you start to understand it...sorta! The reason it appears that there are "few examples" of these is due to the fact that there are far more player collectors analyzing the 1991 MLB set over the last decade. The whole thing kicked off in a BMB thread for player collectors seeking variations of their guy.
