Hmm. Good point. Would you expound, though?

Are box bottoms perforated or box panels for that matter? NO, therefore they should be listed as is, not individual cards. What if you want Biggio on a 9 card panel, you need to trade for all 9 cards? Right? Really makes sense, doesn't matter to me though, I have both. Or you could just ask do you have Biggio as a single. More than 1 way to skin the cat.

This is from 1987 Topps packaging and it shows their intent was for two cards to come from their box bottoms:

Exactly why they should be on here both ways. Think of it like a proof set to a coin collector. It's more than just a few coins.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I have the same in various forms - discs, panels, foldouts, and I have the added problem in that I've not yet resolved whether to hold on to product that includes players I don't collect, but they're part of this multiple distribution concept that attaches the player I do collect to them. I'd prefer to keep them intact, but there's matches and more cards to trade for if I separate them.
I know we've got them listed in both ways, and I'm okay with it, but my preference would be for an individual card setup. Now what I've done with some discs is added a note stating that the "card" is still attached with another "card".

I have some experience creating checklists for cards that were issued in perforated groups. A couple years ago, I was instructed to list the set of separate cards normally as the 'base' set, and the unsparated ones under "Inserts and Related". Here's an example:
1991 Racing Legends Junior Johnson
I'm sure that I'm not the only one who wants to track the separated cards and the unseparated ones as distinct separate items in my collections here in the database.

This is something that should be addressed. I noticed it when working on my 69 Topps Stamps that only the individual is listed and not the 12 stamp sheet they came from, but in 1970 the Transograms have 2 seperate listings. One for the 3 card panel and another for the individual player. Same can be said for the Hostess issues except it is listed as an insert instead of seperate issue.
My vote is to list both like the 1970 Transograms so we as collectors can put either one in. Plus with if we want Kids involved more with the hobby, we have to expect them to seperate so they can keep their favorites and trade away the ones they don't like.
More Information is always better and then each person can choose which way they want to collect be it the individual card that fits neatly into their album or box, or the bigger piece.
Mike
PS I love this site and most people in the forums seem super friendly and I hope that can continue even if we disagree on what should or shouldn't be listed.

I slept on it, and I think the option SHOULD be there for the collector who compiles these types of cards as attached or separated. However, as an aside that would mean other sets need to be set up accordingly to be consistent. I only did a random sampling and found three products that come packaged with other cards attached, but there is no "unseparated" or "separated" set for them - meaning they're either listed as a group or individually, but not both.
