I'm starting to get very frustrated with these continued questions about this set, especially when they are coming from one of the people who were so gung ho about getting it added.
TCDB has a very specific directive in the Image Requirements section of the FAQs. The images must be oriented a specific way. This is one of the reasons the factory set versions were never listed here because the ONLY difference was the direction the back was printed. The description on how to tell the difference has been in the Release Notes for years. Yes, years. And now I gave a more detailed description in this forum thread, which is also linked to the set.
How in the heck can the back scans be different??? You want us to post them upside down? What are you trying to accomplish? Sometimes I think you're just trying to act thick or contrary. We added a variation so you can clarify your collection, you should be jumping up and down for joy. Instead, you keep dragging this out "How can I tell the difference? Why can't we post the backs differently?" It's been explained - several times.

The backs look the same. The number is really not in a different spot on the back of the card, it's just that when flipping over the pack inserted cards and the factory set cards the backs were printed in different orientations. So in flipping one version you'll have the number on the lower left corner of the card (but the card is still sideways), flip the other version (while keeping it sideways) and the number will be on the upper right.

Yup, finally....they should be scanned upside down, because they are when looking at the card. And if they were all these questions would be null and void. Right? yes right. It seems that TCDB just wants to do things their way whether it is right or wrong. I really didn't see anything in the FAQ or anywhere that indicates you can't print a back upside down if in fact it is. A lil' birdie told me once, "Ask questions if you don't understand", so I did. Enough said, but what happens when the scans roll in inverted?

They won't, because that is in violation of the image guidelines (which I linked previously, and are VERY clear). And if they do, they'll be flipped the right way by members who have the access to do such things.

Seriously, Bob. They are not printed upsidedown. You are holding them upsidedown. Do you actually hold a card upsidedown when reading the back? Just because that's the way you flipped it? There are two ways to flip a card:
1. bottom up or top down on the horizontal axis
2. right-to-left or left-to-right on the vertical axis
And each will result in a different orientation of the back.
BOTTOM LINE: cards are uploaded and oriented to the image on the card or the text if no image. Why? Because that's how an actual card would be viewed and/or read.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Instead of turning the backs upside down, let's turn the fronts sideways. That'll show 'em.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Donruss and Topps backs were always orientated opposite from each other. But the backs were ALWAYS displayed here right side up.

After sorting the 1987 Donruss in Factory and packed cards, I found many of the following:
1987 Leaf/Donruss
Do these follow the same as the 1987 Donruss?

SInce the Leaf set was only issued in packs and they was no factory set, they do not have multiple versions.
