Is this not just a misaligned printing error and not a VAR as listed? I have plenty of cards where the back is not aligned with the front in the printing press. I really don't think we want to open the lanes to add these as VAR.

I will entertain trades but please don't offer me a 1993 Dave Stieb for a Nolan Ryan rookie. I prefer player for player (at least similar era and similar stardom).

From what I have been able to see, there is a difference in the spacing between the text and the copyright info, not merely how far from the border the copyright is.

Just to add.
There are other cases listed where there are "mm" differences. They are listed as variations, could be errors.

So does anyone have proof of only one plate being used to print the backs. Thus there must have been an 5mm plate and an 8mm plate. If only one plate for each (5 and 8mm) then the gaps will have absolutely zero variance. Has anyone measured all their 5mm and/or 8mm cards. If the slightest variance is found then it's a mere printing glitch.
It was common to have one set of plates for all common elements; borders, copyright, etc. Much more efficient to create and set up commons for one 132-card sheet than for all 660 cards (5 sheets). The common elements printed separately from the unique elements; photos, text, etc. Thus leading to printing misalignments.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

This is not a case of the entire text being shifted towards the edge of the card one way or another. It is a typesetting variation between the sections of the text.

edk - missed that when I first lloked at it. It might be worth changing the defining note in the Note 2 field to reference that margin instead of the margin from the edge. A personal gripe of mine is that our Note 2 fields are often less than defining.

I have changed Note 2 to read "11mm space between bio and copyright line". I also changed the other VAR. This now draws the attention to between the two areas where the space is.

I see the Change Log has changed the gaps from 8mm to 5mm and 11mm to 8mm. Here's my pack pulled card, 5mm. I'd ask all to measure their cards. We'll see if there are any variances.

When I did some of the note2 field entries I noted "above the copyright line" . Reason being I was not sure all would agree with the term "Bio" being used on this card as some of the text (the bottom portion of text) references the puzzle pieces. There are definitely 3 different spacings 5,8,11MM

Three differnent spacings? For them to be true variations Donruss would have had to made three different plates for this card? Why would they create new plates just to move the copyright line?
