EDIT: I was wrong with my original posting. I edited by stricking out my errors.
[s]OY How many variants are there with these.[/s] I just started looking at my set. I have a "set" of these, have had it for several years from Ebay I think years ago. I got it as the set of the backs. I keep them in order of the WS backs. [s]Some of my stickers are different from this checklist. [/s]. My error is I had the wrong sticker associated with the backs. I think I may have cataloged my set here before some variants were added.
OK my biggest problem was I was looking in collection view and it didn't let me view in the regular view checklist mode. I had to "remove all cards from collection" to get the option to change which vaarient I have. Took a long time since the checklist is in team order and my set is in world series back order. Looks like I don't have a full set of stickers.
[s]Since[/s] I just re-noticed this, the reason I haven't cataloged my set here yet, [s]I have a task ahead of me of listing my variants sometime, somewhere. Sigh, Then trying to find the variants here in the database.[/s]
EDIT: ACK! my chromebook didn't do my bold and strikeouts. I think that is the reason. I have only had my Chromebook since Early April and I don't know how to highlight text yet.

For CaptKirk42 and anyone else who organized this set by the World Series highlights instead of the stickers, here is how it shakes out. The base set is 40 cards and each card has 3 variants (based on the stickers) with the following exceptions: 1961 has 6 variants, 1955, 1957, 1960, 1973, 1974, 1976, and 1977 each have 4 variants and 1966 only has 2 variants. There are a total of 89 variants, which means the master set has 129 cards. If anyone wants to see my checklist with all the variants identified, let me know.
Also, I am curious about the Phillies monogram color variant. Does anyone know what it is? The only missing image is of one of these variants.

I can't find anything about it - and unless it's a completely different color, TCDB does not recognize shading differences as VARs. Card should be removed.

IRs are in for this Phils sticker and the green variant on the Brewers diamond one. I think this was the first set I worked on, back in the good ol' L4 days.
(The first post on this topic mentioned a checklist of just the World Series backs under Inserts with the fronts removed, which was eventually added but later removed.)

Personally I think these should be arranged in year order, I would suggest that it is the number on the back of the card. Regardless, I have quite a few of these 80 and 81 Stickers for trade, opened a couple boxes of each the beginning of this year. Plenty of extra wrappers too, for those who collect them.

The sticker on the front is the primary focus of this set, not the backs. VARs within a sticker are sorted by year.

On my personal checklist, I classified the Orioles caps, the Pirates caps, logos, and baseball diamonds as variants. The way I see it there are 105 cards in the base set (26 caps, 26 monograms, 27 logos (including MLB), and 26 baseball diamonds with 24 variants. If we remove the Phillies and Brewers variants that number goes down to 22.

The different-colored Orioles and Pirates stickers aren't VARs. Same with 1981 and 1982

should we have an insert set for the backs with the sticker removed (like we have done with many of the topps sticker sets)?
thanks, Mark
