Hello,
I have come across a 1987 Sportflics card for Jesse Orosco card #76 and I am curious about adding this as an error or variation. There are currently three variations for this card based on the copyright and a spelling UER. The card I have shows the 1987 copyright and has the misspelled name but has a card number 96.
Regards

Can anyone confirm there's a 1987 copyright with the original #76, or do they incorrectly have #96? We don't have a back image, and all the ones on COMC are 1986 copyright.

I don't yet have the card, so can't help there. eBay was of little help as there are a few listings for the 1987 copyright version, but none of them have images of the back of the card.

Not having a back image is typical of Ebay listings.
Some sellers you are lucky if their image matches the card they are selling. Way too many sellers don't preview their listings before posting them. Especially if they list 100s to 1,000s of cards regularly.

I did check my set, and it's the 1986 copyright version. Sorry I can't help on this one.

Just bought a box of these to see if I could get lucky and get a few of the 1987 variants...and I did! I've purchased boxes in the past and there is nothing indicating that a box may have the 1987 or the 1986 variants. One thing I did find interesting is about half of the packs had one of the three cards with a 1986 copyright and the other two cards were 1987. The other half of the packs all three cards were 1987. Sadly there was no Orosco card, so I still can't verify this particular issue.
If anyone is in need of a wrapper from this set or any of the Team Logo Trivia cards, please let me know. I'm likely to throw all of that away as I just don't collect it.
