1986 DairyPak NFL Players Superstars Series Football Forum

I bought this card on ebay.  I believe it's part of the 1986 DairyPak cards issued on milk cartons. The color appears to be maroon which I don't see listed as a variation. Is this a printing color error? Is this the purple variation? Does this color variation need to be added? Do you think all cards from this set have this variation? Please Assist. Thanks! 

Personally, I think it looks more like magenta than maroon. But that's not what you were asking.

To my untrained eye, it seems different than any of the versions currently listed. Now, is that because it's intentionally a different color, or is it just a printing error [or, as budler suggests, just a different color fading]? That I don't know.

As far as I been able to find out there are only the colors listed here.  There have been several postings about this.  I have not been able to find them.

No a variation, just inking issues.  I bought a lot of milk in 1986, all the same brand.  The color tones varied. They're milk cartons, perfection wasn't necessary.  Here are two of my "purples".

Looks like they added all the parallel colors but didn't move them out of the base set; which is "red".

I'm confused.  So the red ink they used on milk carton had no quality control which led to color defects? If so, why aren't there color defects for the other colors they used to make cartons?  Is there a dark blue? 

I just saw the first forum posting so now I'm not so confused. Maroon/magenta is a different color than red any way you look at it.
