This is a sad day for football fans. Jim Brown was probably the best running back in NFL history. I never did see him play, but I did watch him in the Dirty Dozen. RIP Jim Brown. He will always be an all time NFL legend. He will be missed. ------------------------------- Brendan

Just missed watching him as I became a sports fan in 1966, but my recollection of him then was of a legend.

Definitely the greatest running back ever.

The NFL Network is running a Football Life Jim Brown marathon (the same episode back to back to back) for those who are interested in learning more about the best running back yet to play the game. Pretty cool when Emmitt Smith, Marcus Allen etc. talk about his influence on their lives and careers in football. Also kind of funny watching him break five or six tackles on his way to another TD. RIP

Never got to see him play, but growing up in Cleveland during the 70s I still saw and heard about the impact he had on football. And as a Syracuse graduate I got to see the impact he had on a lacrosse program
