Let me fill you in on the steps I took:
1) Having found some cards in my collection that don't have images on the site, I wanted to try to be helpful. Figured I'd start with the Pronger card because he's the biggest name of the ones I have that are missing images
2) Understanding that photos are not permitted, I took the time to google how to use the scan feature on my iPhone
3) Having used the iPhone to take the scan of front and back, I tried to upload, realizing that the app saved the scans as a PDF, not JPG
4) Unable to figure out how to convert from PDF to JPG on the phone, I emailed the scans to myself, then googled again how to convert to JPG from PDF
5) Having registered for an Adobe account so I could make the conversion, I then downloaded the new JPG scan images
6) I then uploaded my scan images, to be told it was the wrong card
7) I posted in the forum inquiring as to why, as I want to understand where I went wrong
There was no attempt at deception on my part by taking a photo and calling it a scan. I took every step I could (short of buying myself a scanner) to contribute to the site and add a missing image.
As a newer member, I find it very disheartening to reach out for help in understanding, only to be mocked by a respected veteran.
My apologies for whatever infraction it's perceived I am guilty of.
I have previously enjoyed my experience here with TCDB
