Born in Ludlow, Mississippi, I was drafted in the first round of the 2001 NFL Draft. I sported a Fleur-de-lis for 8 seasons before retiring with over 6,000 rushing yards. Who am I?

I was traded to a Super Bowl champion and after badmouthing my former teammates the trade was nullified about a week later, and I had to rejoin the team I had disparaged. Who am I?

I wasn't sure if you meant the comic hero or michigan player. In either case, wrong!
Actually the player was Carl Garrett (New Mexico Highlands) who was traded to Dallas prior to the 1971 season for disgruntled runningback Duane Thomas. Thomas held out after his rookie year for a restructured contract after winning the NFC Rookie of the Year Award. The Cowboys' GM Tex Schramm refused to budge and instead traded him to New England for Garrett.
Garrett was elated in going to the Cowboys, who had lost Super Bowl V to Baltimore. During an interview with reporters upon arriving in the Cowboys training camp he said he expected to do much better in Dallas since their offensive line was loads better than the Patriots. Well, Thomas continued his oppositional ways and Commissioner Pete Rozelle rescinded the trade within the week, and both players returned to their previous teams. Garrett played through the 1972 season with New England, while Thomas gave Dallas the silent treatment, yet performed well and led Dallas to their first ever Super Bowl title.

My first thought was Hoyt Wilhelm, but then I thought of Satchel Paige, however, I need to check if Paige actually played in the MLB.

I know the oldest to start a game was LeRoy "Satchel" Paige. He pitched 3 innings for the KC Athletics in 1965. (My father-in-law was at the game.) I don't know how old he was, 60?
I think the oldest pitcher to win a game was Jamie Moyer, but it might have been Phil Niekro. I think they both pitched until they were 47 or 48.
I can't answer any football questions but I'm pretty good with baseball ones.
