Heres the scoop 

i got some change yesterday and i always look for wheat pennies but something strange caught my eye and im like what the heck is this

So it is a 1989 D penny. Not an ordinary penny first it is struck on a size of a dime and double stuck where Lincolns head has a shadow or a ghost but the thickness of the coin is a thick as a nickel. The copper is chipping away but the penny head is still there and the ridge of the coin is super deep. It sound as it is made of silver with a copper plate but feels lighter than a usual penny.  I heard about spy coins from the show Mysteries at the Museum but i cant seem to find where to pry it apart if there is one 

any info or value of this coin is much appreciated

Send it up to Canada, we've had a major penny shortage since 2012.

It's so long to list cards so i tried counterfeiting pennies but thats taking even longer, i think my next step is custom cards that look like 20$ bills as i gotta speed up the process a bit....Oh mighty Isis

On the plus side, at least you'll have a magic trick to use at parties! :D

I was just reminded of this scene while reading through. "Yes, but you can still buy a gumball"..."No, you can't, they cost a nickel".

I took the penny into a coin dealer. He said hes has seen about 20 of these in the past 35 years. He believes that it is a prison penny.  It a real penny that a convict used a spoon to do this.  It takes a lot of time and patience but since your sitting in prison it something to pass the time.  
I have a hard time believing that myself.
