Over the years I have picked up and dropped collections but the main ones were cards, action figures and die cast cars (Hot Wheels. Johnny Lightning, etc). When my oldest hit 8 or 9 I opened up all of my action figures and cars for my kids to play with. Now I only collect cards, and even that is down to just a couple of players and non-sports.

I collect vinyl records. I started selling them to support the hobby. I was a dealer at local conventions for several years but now I'm solely selling them on Discogs. In the past I have collected various magazines, stamps, coins, bottle caps, shot glasses, Star Wars figures, concert tickets, VHS tapes, DVDs, CDs, street art, and books. I've sold most of these collections and have just kept the most important pieces. Answering this question makes me wonder how much money I could have saved by not having this collecting habit. I guess you can't put a price on happiness though and they have all brought me joy at some time.

Back when casinos paid out real coins, I would take a coin cup from each casino that I went to.
I also used to work at an airport and would find currency from all over the world. Nothing very valuable, but very interesting to find.

I collect coins and tokens primarily. My focus is on older British and British Empire coins. I’ve dabbled in comics and action figures in the past as well.

Beside cards I collect all types of sports memorabilla (ticket stubbs, programs, stadium giveaways), bobble heads (mostly Orioles, Capitals & Baltimore Colts), dvds & record albums. My second favorite thing to collect which I do with the wife is Hallmark Ornaments which has turned into my most expensive addiction (lol).

I have way too many! I collect what I like to call the 3 M's - music, movies and Magic. I've been collecting music since the end of high school and have something like 5000 albums in one format or another. The same with movies. I've been collecting them for quite sometime. I'm not sure how many I have at this point. And, yes, the dreaded Magic: The gathering since around 2000. This is the third time I've gotten into sports cards since I was a kid. This time I think it'll stick.

I like a good craft beer. I have been peeling labels and saving them from any bottle that I consume. I am at 476 labels so far. All good stuff and consumed responsibly.

Patches. Those were the only souvenirs I could afford when I first went abroad. Now I have over 120 on my jean jacket. They’re all that’s holding it together. So the jacket cost about $500 now, if you include the cost of the patches. My most expensive and heaviest item of clothing.

I collect a lot of things besides cards. Sports video games, anime figures, manga, sports hats, jerseys, and MLB, NFL, College Football, and NHL season preview magazines or magazines in general.
