I know it's not a popular opinion but as long as ST starts as expected than I believe this lockout may actually be BENEFICIAL for the game. The last week was some of the most exciting transaction frenzy this game has seen in a while, and those who argue MLB free agency isn't enough of an exciting attention-gabber should be satiated. I will continue to stand by this as long as ST isn't postponed - and while not much progress has been made, they have time, and a [relative] lack of urgency should hopefully produce a better CBA that is better for everyone.

I do love the deal that my hometown Blue Jays gave to Kevin Gausman. They wanted him last off season, but he chose to sign somewhere else on a one year deal.

The Blue Jays actually have a large problem in that they need to sign Guerrero, Bichette, Hernandez and get themselves another bat into their lineup. This player should also be able to play a position as well because Guerrero also needs a few games off from playing 1st base and will likely end up DHing. He only missed one game all season.

Don't forget that the Cards signed Matz. Stroman vs Matz for a short while in the NL Central. I agree that Jon would be a depth starter for them.
