Last year I sent a Secret Santa sketch on one of them cardboard blanks they put in packs. On the back I scribbled a nice Happy Christmas note.

I identify myself each year, and those who have sent to me have done so as well. We aren't sending for the thanks, but those who are getting like to give thanks. Allow them that option.

Just throwing this out there for the ones that did it last year. When did you send your package to your secret Santa? Like now or a bit closer the Xmas? Just curious.

When I did it with the bloggers 2 years ago, I sent it out once I had obtained what I was sending (I needed to buy something that year).
Last year, I sent it a week or so after the Thanksgiving weekend holiday. I don't remember the exact day. Since all "Santas" are in the same country as their recipients this year, it should give everyone a little extra time to obtain thoughtful items and still get them in the mail in time to reach those recipients by Christmas. Hanukkah is very early this year, and I doubt any of us will be able to make it time for that (my apologies to our Jewish friends). As it was, I took some heat for trying to get sign-ups early and we'll still fail on getting these out for the holidays.
If you want your package to reach your recipient before Christmas, I would recommend sending no later than Monday, December 13.

I had the same question as SportsCardHunter. I'm planning to use some holiday wrapping paper for mine to distinguish it from other packages and PWE's folks get in the mail.

I like that idea of holiday wrapping paper. Will have to do the same. People can decide to wait or open right away.
