Truly a fascinating thread.
As for me, I am a CPA & CFA and have been working for one of Canada's largest pension plans for the past 25 years.

Lead new model tester for a company writing software models. Lots of fine tuning and number crunching involved.

Currently unemployed.
Have been since about 2018. Long story but it hasn't been a very good few years.

Retired USAF after 21 years. Traveled the world and not settled yet. Raising a baseball protege who's won multiple little league championships and ready for college ball. A great shortstop/pitcher combo and willing to play anywhere for the team. Younger kiddo has a district championship on his resume and is rocking in soccer as a leading defenseman in his 15U age group. Gave up keeping a few years ago so he could burn more energy. Big Griffey Jr. fan here and all other sports in general.

I was a member of a a crack commando unit that was sent to prison by a military court for a crime we didn’t commit. I promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground.
Today, I am still wanted by the government and survive as a soldier of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find me, maybe you can hire me or my uncle Mortimer and one of us can probably get your taxes back in order.

I work in the legal department of a local/regional healthcare system.
I used to moonlight as the official scorer for a local minor league baseball team. My wife and I had our first child 3 1/2 years ago (and another one 1 1/2 years ago), so I'm not moonlighting anymore.
Thanks for posting the question. I've enjoyed reading everyone's responses.

Where do I work In 65 years I worked in a few jobs.
When in High school I worked as a wholesale stocker 1972 to 1974 ( Where I got my Topps cards from) , sister & brother worked there before me. and some days I worked in a gas station PUMPING gas.
1974 I got a job with Gulf Oil working in Phila Refinery, in Aug 1975 thought my job was going to burn down. Over they years Chevron and Sunoco owned the same refinery. I left in Jan 2001.
2001 I worked for Walmart because I needed health insurance because I was a major illness from being broke.
Sept 2017 I went on Soc Security and retired some but in Nov 2019 I went back to work for a few hours a week to get out of house and have pocket money. for hobby.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards
