Good riddance! Totally kidding guys!!!
The Raiders moving has been talked about seemingly forever, so it's not really "new" news. Moving from L.A. to Oakland was kinda stupid in the 1st place. Then when they wanted to move back to L.A., they got beat out by the Rams and Chargers. I understand why the Rams moved back to L.A. but I don't get why the Chargers left S.D. for L.A..
I'm not a fan of teams moving around either, but it's been pretty common in all professional sports. Part of the reason I stopped collecting NBA cards (and even following the sport) is b/c the Charlotte Hornets moved to New Orleans. I'm not following my local team when they move several states away. At that point, there were several NBA teams closer to home and that's also when the Grizzlies moved to Memphis. Heck, I stopped intensely following my local MiLB team when they switched affiliations from the Indians to the Royals (2007, I think). I still pay attention to how they do each year, but I can't name a single player on the team for the past decade-plus and I haven't been to a game since the switch. If David Tepper ever moves the Carolina Panthers to another state (he's contractually obligated to keep them there for X amount of years), I won't be a fan anymore. I'd HATE to see the Panthers leave NC, even just to move to SC. I'd still be a fan if they move to SC, but any other state is a no-go for me.
At least the Raiders get a nice new stadium to move into now. They wouldn't have gotten that by moving to L.A. a couple of years ago. Who wants to bet now that the Las Vegas Raiders win their division in 2020?
NO PWE's EVER!!! PLZ PM me 1st before sending any offer. ONLY selling cards as of March 2024. No trades or purchases right now.
