I added this original 1958 Edsel promo to my collection last night!
For those who don't know, I'm obsessed with Edsels. They were produced for only three years, 1958-60. This promo, made by AMT, was available at Edsel dealerships starting on September 4th, 1957, when the 1958 Edsels went on sale. This example retains the original box, which is a rarity. Most original boxes got tossed. There's some warpage due to the acetate used, but not bad at all, and better than an exaple I saw at 4 times the price last October!
I've actually been dialing back on card purchases with the intent to purchase an actual driveable Edsel or El Camino. It hasn't really worked, and will probably never happen...but I will keep dreaming. For now, I am thrilled to have this example in my collection! And this would have been one of only three replicas actually sold by the Edsel dealers, I believe, and it's the first one to join my collection. 1959 and 60 promos are exceptionally rare...so rare I don't even know if they actually exist. This might be the only one done, I don't know. This is only the fourth of fifth copy of the 1958 I've ever seen in person...despite the fact that I've been going to model shows and events for almost 20 years.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
