This Saturday August 10 I shall be attending the Somerset Antique Fair in Somerset, PA. This is an annual event which I always look forward to as I sometimes get lucky and pick up some interesting finds. My best find, for me anyways, was this set of Johnstown Chiefs hockey cards. I also found one of them old Hot Wheels storage cases that looks like a wheel from one of their toy cars. One year a vendor had a gorgeous Pittsburgh Pirates logo sign which appeared to made of some kinda acrylic it stood about 3' tall. He said it came from Three Rivers Stadium. I liked it, but I didn't like enough at $300. Hopefully this year I will find some interesting stuff, sadly Mrs Gunny has to work and cannot attend.
Oh, I am also recycling a piano this weekend, that's where the busy part comes into play.

Interesting, Gunny. I need to check those fairs out when we have them down here. I never consider that I may find some collectibles not generally found elsewhere. Of course, things like that Pirates logo would also be too much for me to swallow, but maybe I'll give a couple of those a shot once they start popping up again. I don't think we have anything until October as it's too hot to do anything like that right now here in Houston.
By the way, the music industry recycles by calling their music "remastered". Just saying...

Joshua, you should check out Round Top, TX when the antique fairs happen, I always find amazing items. Picked up some vintage 1940's Hockey Gear of all things. They have vendors with seats from the old Cotton Bowl to just about thing Cowboys or Oilers.I hope to be back for the Fall fair

Mark,
Cool! Mrs Gunny loves when we take a drive along the country roads outside of Berlin, PA. She was amazed when I stopped and the cows in the field came right up to the car.
Joshua,
I shall be "remastering" that piano on the front porch once I get it moved out of the living room.
